Corrections
Each figure on this site must match the figure its publisher released for the same hospital and surgery in the same period. A figure that does not match is an error. This page explains how to report one and how it is fixed and recorded.

Report a figure
Open a data problem issue on GitHub. Give the address of the page and the hospital. Give the figure the page shows and the value in the publisher's own data. A link to the publisher's copy helps the check.
GitHub issues are public. Leave out any personal information and any detail about your own care.

To write privately, use the contact link in the footer of every page.
A security problem goes through the repository's private security advisory form and never into a public issue.
How a report is checked
A maintainer compares the figure on the page with the pinned publicdata.au version that the build read. The maintainer then compares both with the publisher's own value.
- If the pinned version and the publisher agree with each other and differ from the page, the error is in this site's processing. The maintainer fixes it.
- If the pinned version differs from the publisher, the error is in the publicdata.au copy. The maintainer reports it to publicdata.au.
- If the page matches the publisher, the figure is correct. The maintainer closes the issue and links the publisher's value.
Errors at the publisher
A publisher corrects its own error. The next version of the dataset on publicdata.au carries the correction, and the site shows it after the next data refresh.
A revised figure that the publisher releases later is a data update. The earlier page showed what the publisher had released at the time, so the log below does not list it.
How a fix is made
A fix to this site's processing is a pull request that corrects the cause and adds a test that fails without the fix. The pull request describes the pages and figures it affects.
After the fix is published, a maintainer adds the correction to the log on this page with its date.
