These terms apply when you use Surgery Waits. General Consulting Services Pty Ltd (ACN 658 447 280) as trustee for the Australian Business Trust (ABN 13 744 838 758) trading as National Digital operates the site and offers it free of charge. In these terms, the operator means that entity.

What the site is
Surgery Waits republishes official statistics about how long patients waited for planned surgery at public hospitals in Australia. The statistics describe waits that have already happened. The site excludes private hospitals.
Not medical advice
The site gives general information. It is not medical advice and it does not recommend a hospital or a doctor.
A past waiting time does not predict your wait.
Your general practitioner and your treating specialist can advise you about your own care. In an emergency, call 000.
Accuracy and corrections
The operator takes care to reproduce each figure as the publisher released it. A publisher can revise a figure, and an error can occur in the source data or in how this site processes it.
To report a figure that looks wrong, follow the corrections page.
No warranty
To the extent that Australian law allows, the operator provides the site as it is.
The operator gives no warranty that the site is available or that its figures are current.
These terms do not exclude any right that Australian law does not allow to be excluded, including a consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law.
